Welcome to the Varina Rising Stars 4-H Club. Membership is voluntary and free
of charge! 4-H is a dynamic, ever changing youth development program.
4-H membership is open to all boys and girls, ages 5- 19 years of age, regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, marital or family status. 4-H members live in towns, cities, suburbs, and on farms in every county of Virginia. |
The 4-H year runs from October 1st to
September 30th (you may join at any time). The highest age reached during the 4-H year is
your 4-H age for the entire year. Cloverbuds are 5 through 8;
junior members are 9, 10, and 11; Intermediates are 12 and 13;
and seniors are 14 through 18 years of age. Eligibility for 4-H
membership terminates on December 31st of the year the member
has his/her 19th birthday.

Varina Rising Stars 4-H Club meets the second Tuesday of every month at the Dorey Park Recreation Center at 7:00 pm.
Answers to your specific questions about 4-H may be obtained
through the local Extension Office. You may phone the office by
calling 804.501.5160, weekdays from 8:00 am to 4:30pm. Our

located on the top floor of the Human Services Building at 8600
Dixon Powers Drive, Richmond, VA.
