Achievement Night Awards for 2010-2011
Varina Rising Stars had over 15 SUPER OUTSTANDING MEMBERS and Outstandig Cloverbuds. Many new members were in attendence and this upcoming year looks like it will be fuller than ever.
County Awards for 2010-2011
Club members received recognition for work done on the county level, including project books, contests, workshops, achievement sheets, etc. VRS received the top GOLD CLUB award. Way to go VRS!
Big Toy Parade
Varina Rising Stars participated in the 2011 Big Toy Parade in December. We had bikers, 4-Wheelers, tractors, dogs, horses, and even a donkey. Wonderful day and great to be out for such a fun event.
Year End Fun Show
VRS hosted its final show of the year with outstanding participation, beautiful weather, and fierce competitions. From barrel racing, musical cones, pleasure, and miniature relays to egg and spoon and bubble gum races. We look forward to this show every year!
State Fair of Virginia
VRS presented its first Miniature Horse Drill Team at the State Fair of Virginia in October. 6 members, 6 horses, and an incredible support team wowed the audience on Saturday. Look for us to expand this new adventure in the upcoming year.
State Horse Show - Lexington, VA
VRS sent 12 horses to compete at the State Show. We had an outstanding crew supporting our kids to make yet another successful weekend

Club members decorated tack boxes, painted barn tools, and helped get all their tack and horses ready for the State Horse Show in Lexington, Virginia.
Club Achievement Night
VRS club awards night. Members were acknowleged for their participation in programs, project books, community service and club work for the previous 2009-2010 Club year.
Christmas Party and Stockings for St. Judes Childrens Hospital
VRS kids came clad in pajamas ready to party and get down to work. They filled over 150 stockings to be delivered to St. Judes for Christmas.

Varina Rising Stars turned out to recieve awards for highest scoring 4H club in Henrico County as well as the kids being individually recognized for Club work throughout the year. Way to go VRS!
